The schematic above, which appeared in the First Assessment Report of the IPCC, is not an actual temperature reconstruction. It has no temperature anomaly on the y axis (though some temperatures have been inaccurately added in some versions). It only refers to Central England and only goes up to 1950.
Jones et al. trace the schematic diagram back to a series used by H.H. Lamb, representative of central England, last published by Lamb (1982). However, Lamb is plotting 50-year averages here, and the final data point appears to be 1950. Jones et al. superimpose IPCC FAR Figure 7.1c (black) with Lamb's central England temperature (red) and added the (observed) Central England Temperature data up to 2007 (blue):
For the Northern hemisphere as a whole up to 2001.
For the Global as a whole up to 2021
(LGM= Last Glacial Maximum analysis and LMGR= Last Glacial Maximum Reanalysis.)
The Medieval Warm Period has not been deliberately hidden by the IPCC. It’s been superceded with actual temperature reconstructions.
‘A favorite "skeptic" argument is "climate sensitivity is low". But if the MWP was particularly hot, that means there was a fairly large temperature change about 1,000 years ago.
The hotter the peak of the MWP, the larger the temperature change, and the more sensitive the climate was to the factors causing that change (mainly increased solar activity and decreased volcanic activity).
Arguing for a hot MWP is arguing for a high climate sensitivity to these natural factors, and if the climate is sensitive to an energy imbalance caused by a change in solar or volcanic activity, there's no reason it wouldn't also be sensitive to changes in greenhouse gases as well. In short, a hot MWP also means a high climate sensitivity.’
Now, with no evidence nor a causative mechanism the movement of magnetic north is what is causing climate change! The rise in temperature has not been caused by the Earth’s magnetic field flipping.
‘In the past 200 years, Earth’s magnetic field has weakened about nine percent on a global average. Some people cite this as “evidence” a pole reversal is imminent, but scientists have no reason to believe so. In fact, paleomagnetic studies show the field is about as strong as it’s been in the past 100,000 years, and is twice as intense as its million-year average. While some scientists estimate the field’s strength might completely decay in about 1,300 years, the current weakening could stop at any time.’
Magnetic north may well be changing since it’s discovery in 1831, but so have other many other things not accused of causing global warming. As it has only been recorded for 200 years there is no reason to believe that changes in magnetic north began with the industrial revolution.
‘During a pole reversal, the magnetic field weakens, but it doesn’t completely disappear. The magnetosphere, together with Earth’s atmosphere, continue protecting Earth from cosmic rays and charged solar particles, though there may be a small amount of particulate radiation that makes it down to Earth’s surface’. If the sun’s radiation was causing the warming we would expect it during days and summers, not what is actually happening; of nights and winters warming faster than days and summers. There is neither a correlation of warming and cooling with acceleration and deceleration of magnetic north (which moves about alot), just a coincidental change in one direction. Nor is there a theory of causation.
The atmosphere is not ferrous; ‘There’s no known physical mechanism capable of connecting weather conditions at Earth’s surface with electromagnetic currents in space.’
‘Solar storms and their electromagnetic interactions only impact Earth’s ionosphere, which extends from the lowest edge of the mesosphere (about 31 miles or 50 kilometers above Earth’s surface) to space, around 600 miles (965 kilometers) above the surface. They have no impact on Earth’s troposphere or lower stratosphere, where Earth’s surface weather, and subsequently its climate, originate.’
‘Plant and animal fossils from the period of the last major pole reversal don’t show any big changes. Deep ocean sediment samples indicate glacial activity was stable. In fact, geologic and fossil records from previous reversals show nothing remarkable, such as doomsday events or major extinctions.’
Now industry is getting debates about all this censored. Hero of right wing heath freedom Ron de Santis has banned debate over climate change and how to address it, even though Florida is experiencing the hottest temperatures recorded and sea levels are rising. He says there’s a green, left wing agenda so has turned down $5 billion in investment. Got to look after his fossil fuel industry backers though.
The covid measures made no scientific sense from beginning to end and debate about this had to be censored. Yet people are now being led to distrust all evidence and science, apart from excess deaths (which is government data but hey), and believe the most craziest notions and cheer when debate is censored.
Health freedom are saying the quiet part out loud; that the West is being targeted by an agenda that favours (in justice and equality) the (formerly colonised and now neocolonised) ‘developing’ nations.
