This well ordered and stage managed photo opportunity- sorry, protest- at the British Museum from 2022 shows ER members holding a perfectly rendered BP logo. It consists of a large flower with environmental friendly lime, dark green and sunshine yellow petals and pure white at its dazzling centre. The lettering for BP is bigger than for DROP and if you didn’t know it might mean “drop British Petroleum into your petrol tank!” No blood spatters from animals, Palestinians or Indigenous people. No evidence of failed crops or loss of pollinators for this pretty flower nor any signs of a climate crisis at all.

Extinction rebellion are being used to provide publicity and advertising for BP and the British Museum. In 2023 the Museum signed a £50 million contract with BP for their Bloomsbury site refurbishment.
