BRICS+ is our only hope to address the climate crisis because it will require both
a) the destruction of the rogue Empire with its war-mongering oil barons
b) a level of diplomacy, commitment and cooperation between humans never before dreamt of, let alone attempted.

Russia and China may well be aware of environmental issues and doing their best to recycle and protect its population from pollution. However a world of economies based on increased production of goods, energy and therefore greenhouse gases will only accelerate the climate crisis. Plus there will be competition for finite resources even between friendly nations.
Multilateral degrowth is the only option.
Given that China has the worlds biggest CO2 emissions, double that of the US, and than India and Russian are the 3rd and 4th biggest emitters, the future looks bleak if they are our only hope.
