'Net zero' is an industry scam; to fool us something is being done about emissions rising each year

and to make us forget we're heading for disaster

We are racing towards changes and temperatures, in terms of evolution so quickly they’re occurring overnight, which human life has never experienced before and we’re doing NOTHING to slow ourselves down.

Climate change is already killing poor and Black people far away and as we’ve never cared about them, fiddling about with carbon credits and carrying on as usual is the way to go.

Even if we do everything fairly and equally (dirty words even in the climate change community) to limit fossil fuel and methane emissions we will still reach 2 degrees, which will be disastrous for our present civilisation.

We are NOT doing ANYTHING to stop the increase of emissions and we may well be just a short blip in the fossil record.

First industry tried to undermine the science. Now the science is accepted by all except a few weird people. Now action is being delayed and stuffed with pseudo-tech and the time frame for action has been moved into the future.

The culture of reliance on pseudo-tech or real tech that won’t come in time has been so ingrained in our psyches we still think it will save us.

Climate scientists, who are themselves high emitters, enjoy the prestige of meeting CEOs and politicians are contributing to the problem. Climate community heroes spend climate prizes on fossil fuel sports cars, another bought a second home and another keeps flying to keep up their air miles. Jeffrey Sachs, for example is in a different location every time he’s interviewed.

A change in behaviour will not change arguments but would add credibility to them. For example, instead of flying White imperialists to do scientific research or to report on events in the Global South, locals could be trained to do it. They may well already know how to do it.

Journalists have also been terrible. They have run scared of editors and newspaper owners. The climate crisis is nowhere in MSM and no-one wants to address fairness and equity; emissions can’t be squeezed out of those who don’t emit.

There are no non-radical futures. Either citizens push for radical change or even more radical climate, migration and war pressures happen.

Imperial entitlement and the military industrial petroleum complex are hurtling humans toward being fried to a crisp.
