The US influence over the UK began after American Independence and accelerated after the end of WWII. It increased over Brexit and the CIA operation known as ‘covid’ (the OTT measures caused a backlash as did propaganda about a vanity project controlling us with climate policies). It became turbo charged with the provoking of Russia over Ukraine, the sanctions on China and the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza.
The US based interests; big oil, animal ag, pharma, tech, arms and surveillance have undue influence over UK politics. They make us increase NATO and military spending, buying arms from the US for a proxy war with Russia. They make us sanction Russia and China against our best interests- Trump 1.0 made us remove Huawei tech from 5G installation. What a joke. They’ve got us spending on AUKUS over a proxy war the CIA is stirring over Taiwan. They slur vegans to protect animal ag and pharma profits and spread lies about renewables so that we remain dependent on US energy hegemony. The stupidity of Labour, Miliband and the Greens puts people off anything to do with the climate crisis. Loss making media such as GBNews, propped up by murky Dubai based companies, shill for big oil and big animal ag. They stir immigration fears with photo shopped images of boats and deliberately cause ‘rape gangs’ to not be investigated properly. . They’ve used self-ID to make, what could have been an accommodation with the 9000 people in the UK with GRCs over access to single-sex toilets, an all out war on women’s rights that had to be fought.
The US want us to have a party in power that are pro-Trump, that denies a human-made climate crisis exists, is patriarchal, white nationalist and MAGA for the UK. This is how they’ve been doing it.
The ‘right’ is just as gullible as the ‘left’; though admittedly the people working for these US interests are not amateurs.
