Rising inflation and the cost of living crisis in the UK were completely avoidable

1. There was no need to spend some of the £400 ‘covid’ billions on furlough for an unnecessary and small business damaging lockdown nor to give the rest of it to Big Pharma and its share holders in government for useless testing and drugs.

2. These measures led to decreases in people exercising, increases in junk food consumption, isolation, poor mental health and obesity which all put further pressure on the NHS, who just sent me a box of biscuits.

3. There was no need to give £4.6 billion to the arms industry for the US’s proxy war in Ukraine. The disruption to food supplies from the now devastated Ukraine would have been avoided if Bojo hadn’t told Zelensky not to accept a very reasonable agreement simply to not join NATO. Instead 70,000 Ukrainians have been killed and Ukraine will end up with less territory than it started with.

4. Energy prices have risen due to sanctions on Russia and a cap on prices which have been a catastrophic failures. Europe is buying Russian oil at higher prices via India, LNG is shipped from the US, at 4 times mark up, instead of buying affordable Russian gas through a pipeline. Europe has also lost shipping and insurance contracts as Russia expands its trade in West Asia and the rest of BRICS.

5. The proxy war was also used just as an excuse for mark ups and increases in profits for greedy energy and food companies.

6. People didn’t need to fall for industry funded propaganda. If there is a conspiracy to enforce massive regulation and to stop us from using the fossil fuels that have saved us all from returning to cave dwelling; it’s going really, really badly. Fossil fuel profits are in the $trillons and prices are only increasing. Politicians continue to back their own portfolios and their friends in an already mega rich industry in the form of tax exemptions, grants and subsidies that soar into £billions. One could say the industry funded climate change denial from Toby Young and JP, that’s actively promoted in the MSM, and the conspiracy theories of dynasties being mean to us, that are actively promoted in alt-media, has had the desired outcome!

7. Austerity measures and cutting public spending does not prevent inflation. Inflation is caused by policies, as above, which favour already liability protected and heavily subsidised big industries; oil, meat, dairy, weapons and pharma; making the rich very much richer and the middle and poor very much poorer.
