While some obsess about the domination fantasies of weird Klaus and the Tufties; the Hegemon is revealed as actually being a small man behind a curtain,
the EU completely destroys itself and China and Russia fall in love and give birth to their own sustainable development goals.
From Pepe Escobar;
‘2023 may be defined for posterity as The Year of the Russia-China Strategic Partnership. This wonder of wonders could easily sway under a groove by – who else – Stevie Wonder: “Here I am baby/ signed, sealed, delivered, I’m yours.”
In the first 11 months of 2023, trade between Russia and China exceeded $200 billion; they did not expect to achieve that until 2024.
Now surely that’s One Partnership Under a Groove. Once again signed, sealed and delivered during the visit of a large delegation to Beijing last week, led by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and revisited and upgraded the whole spectrum of the comprehensive partnership/strategic cooperation, complete with an array of new, major joint projects.’
Here’s Pepe on the self destruction of the EU who depleted their economies supporting the US proxy war in Ukraine, allowed their industries to be seduced into moving to the US with tax breaks and other incentives and who crippled themselves with sanctions on Russian products such as affordable gas;
‘In desperation, and no more than an option-deprived, headless chicken victim in the War of Economic Corridors, the Hegemon’s EU vassals are resorting to twisting the Follow the Money playbook.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has defined the freezing of Russian assets – not only private, but also state-owned – by the EU as pure theft. Now Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov is making it very clear that Moscow will react symmetrically to the possible use of income from these frozen Russian assets.
Paraphrasing Lavrov: you confiscate, we confiscate. We all confiscate.
The repercussions will be cataclysmic – for the Hegemon.
No Global South nation, outside of NATOstan, will be “encouraged” to park its foreign currency/reserves in the West. That may lead, in a flash, to the whole Global South ditching the U.S.-led international financial system and joining a Russia-China-led alternative.’
From Karl Sanchez;
‘Yes, Russia’s aim is to confiscate the Outlaw US Empire ‘s ability—its freedom—to act unilaterally and foment chaos globally. That aim is shared by the vast majority of nations, and they are finally acting together to attain that goal.’
Western domination is unsustainable. The global majority will not allow it. A Western ethno state/US unsinkable aircraft carrier in Palestine is not sustainable. The attack on trade ships by Yemen will decide not only who has energy dominance but will reconfigure the entire West Asia region in favour of the ‘axis of resistance’ and the Global Majority. ‘Israel’ will not be part of it. The US Empire has been revealed itself to be all teeth and no trousers, it cannot protect Israel, nor defeat Russia, let alone China. Thank you Toto.
The oil barons of the US and the European industrialists in Davos will no longer be rich people coasting on neocolonial power. It will be over. How will they enact their alleged fantasies of depopulating and control of the rest of the world, with its certain number of compliant Chinese people, when they’re just everyday Joes down the supermarket?
Climate change of course rages on. Yes, with a cold winter in Bejing; ‘In recent decades, the interior regions of Eurasia and North America have experienced several unprecedentedly cold winters despite the global surface air temperature increases. One possible explanation of these increasing extreme cold winters comes from the so-called Warm Arctic Cold Continent (WACC) pattern, reflecting the effects of the amplified Arctic warming in driving the circulation change over surrounding continents.’
However, as African nations step away from both strangulation by Western agrochemical companies and from colonial dominance, assisted by Russia, China’s investments in truly freely available energy that millions don’t have to die to get access to; solar and electric infrastructure will probably see the nations of Africa being the least dependent on oil prices and have the most green energy economies yet.
The UN has been revealed as a toothless against industry and the Empire in the face of both climate change and a blatant genocide. I think the new alliances will come up with their own version, in which the US will definitely not have power of veto.
Just like imposing NHS waiting list targets mean that numbers are fudged, so with the UN’s SDGs, such as ending poverty, industry twists and subverts them to their own benefit and to the detriment of poor people. This does not mean that ending poverty is unethical nor that the people, such as King Charles or Tony B. Liar, who support this target are unethical. It means that their goal was not reached due to their corruption, cronyism and greed. The difference is that the Chinese model and the BRI initiative of mutual economic growth is succeeding at the laudable goal of lifting millions out of poverty.
Back to Pepe;
“In 2024, the Arab world will remain the main space in the struggle for the establishment of a new order.”
Confronted with such detailed geopolitical fine-tuning, it’s no wonder the imperial reaction was apoplexy – revealed epidermically in long, tortuous “analyses” trying to explain why President Putin turned out to be the “geopolitical victor” of 2023, seducing vast swathes of the Arab world and the Global South, solidifying BRICS side by side with China, and propelling the EU further into a black void of its own – and the Hegemon’s – making.’
‘The peer-competitor Russia-China strategic partnership is already directly challenging the “rules-based international order” on all fronts – improving their historical spheres of influence while actively developing vast, interconnected connectivity corridors bypassing said “order”. That precludes, as much as possible, direct Hot War with the Hegemon.
Or to put it on Silk Road terms: while the dogs of war bark, lie and steal, the Russia-China caravan strolls on.’
🐒
Absolutely!
Not only did they not expect 'old crazy Putin' to be a mighty military power against their weapons and sanctions, they did not expect:
1) by laying sanctions aka siege on Iran they simply allowed it to have to create without US technology and thus it armed all the groups now fighting in the Middle East on the cheap - while the US and EU spend billions on their weaponry to the Zelensky who is too busy posing for Vogue
2) because the US routinely stabs its 'allies' in the back, they supposed those in the Middle East would do the same. After years of divide and rule and cutting the Arabs into factions, they had no idea and did not expect for them to stop fighting and to unite in efforts for the protection of Palestine. Palestine is still the issue and will always be for those of the Abrahamic faiths. (I do not think Keir Starmer has realised how deeply he's lost the Muslim vote on this.)
Do you think 2024 will be the year the peoples of the Arab oil-rich countries (Gulf/Khaleeji) - who have thoroughly disappointed everyone with their lacklustre approach to Palestine - will face uprisings from their populaces?
