Now Vance is trying to blame the massive inflation/cost of living crisis that predictably followed solely on "Biden" in the hopes Americans are bias and ignorant enough to believe it. In reality this is the cost of tariffs and America's pursuit of hegemony under the uniparty Trump and Biden both obediently serve.

Taiwan’s President Lai is a member of the separatist DPP, but Taiwan’s parliament is split 52 KMT (much more amenable to relations with China), 51 DPP and 8 TPP (more amenable to relations with China).
The TPP leader is being prosecuted on corruption charges, lawfare anyone? Lai is accused of trying to force through the DPP agenda by any means necessary. The previous DPP government put in place policies to get rd of nuclear power by 2025, even though the nation faces an energy shortage (shades of Germany!), while the general population supports nuclear power.
Terms for 7 of the top courts 15 judges have expired and there is utter intransigence by Lai in compromising over new ones that Lai nominates. Leaving the top court non-functional. There is also a fight about moving more government revenues to the local level, which would benefit the KMT and limit the extent of the pointless war spending that the DPP love.
Pushing on its separatist agenda, the DPP has driven a whole-of-nation resilience program, together with war spending, to “prove” to China that its 23 million population could resist invasion! Utterly delusional.
Lai is not up for re-election until 2028, and by then it will be a very different world. China will be significantly stronger, perhaps even nullifying the advantages of chip-maker TSMC. The best thing for Taiwan would be to accept the inevitable and start working on a “one nation two systems” agreement.
He has significant linkages to the US having taken a master degree in public health at Harvard University after which he spent a year as a visiting scholar at the US Department of State. Lai comes from a very modest background so how did he pay to live in the US and go to Harvard, was that paid for by the US State Department? I can nowhere find how he paid for Harvard. This would be a classic co-option of an up and coming foreign individual.
He served as Vice President under Tsai Ing-wen, who took a masters degree at Cornell and then did a PhD at the London School Economics where she spent time as a professor. Another classic case of Western grooming, she is a radical separatist.
His actions are directly against the realistic interests of the Taiwanese people, which would be best met by a reunification that China has vowed to complete by 2049. Instead, he is serving Western interests.
President Trump has not made the life of this US vassal any easier as he put a 32% tariff on Taiwan (excluding microchips).’
