Hamas is an authentic resistance movement. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous and plain stupid One doesn't have to like them or live under them. That's the business of the Gazans. Only a neo colonial mindset would seek to dictate who a population should choose to lead them.

This is like the time of the corona. Everyone was brought to the point where they freaked out and their usual way of interacting (even online) went out the window and their spoke from a place of fear.

The Hamas raid derailed a lot of people with its brutality. I listened to an excellent talk by Victor Davis Hansen who said he thought the raid was meant to throw everyone into an extreme fear and gain sympathy for the people in Gaza because people would attribute that kind of brutality to horrific living conditions.

He describes the state of things before the attack and how a level of peace and cooperation was evident in the area that I think he said he visited. (I read too many things to keep everything straight). And that this gives the lie to outside assumptions.

He also said that Israel's extremely brutal response was unexpected by them and that this is what may have stayed Hezbollah's hand in terms of getting involved. They see Israel will descend to their level, and they don't want that.

A young guy went round somewhere in the US (I think it was a college campus) asking people to sign a pro-Palestine declaration, and everyone was willing UNTIL he read them what they were agreeing to: the killing of all non-Muslims, all LGBT people, strict Muslim laws, etc. Guess what? No one signed.

Westerners who are pro-Palestine have no idea what they're supporting. Don't forget, no Arab nation wants to take in people from Palestine.

The cabal is trying to lead us by our feelings, knowing we want to be seen as compassionate. You even used that word in your post.
