Yes I believe the US exported rice to Latin America after it prevented Latin American government's from supporting rice production and the US encouraged them to open the market - for themselves to take advantage of.
I think the US is the 5th largest exporter of rice after India, Thailand, Vietnam and Pakistan. It mostly exports to Mexico, Central America and Haiti, all countries they suppress and keep wages low for cheap products. They've taken their land often for grazing and soy for animal products and made the locals dependent on the US for (subsidised at cost of production) rice.
They are the 2nd largest importer, of mostly the aromatic rices from Thailand and India
Last year I read that the head of the USA military has affirmed that they will be mostly (all?) electric by 2030(?). I don't think she was joking and somehow honestly believed it was possible. Lunacy knows no bounds and the lunatics have become unbounded.
The military going electric was so outrageous funny, to me, it really highlighted how deluded they are in their inanity (insanity) and/or how much contempt they have for people not brainwashed by echo chamber narcissism.

The entire American food industry is so highly subsidized that for years (I didn't check recently), the USA was the world's biggest producer of rice.
