Thank you Toby Rogers. You've beautifully illustrated the Davos deflection
though you don't even realise it.
Here is Toby’s note (my comments in italics)
When someone says that they are concerned about global warming ask them if they mean:
A.) Cracking down on dirty coal-fired power plants in India & China (per capita emissions in the States are way above those of India, China and the rest of the world), forcing Exxon to clean up its production processes, and encouraging the U.S. military to fight fewer wars of convenience (good luck with kindly asking the military industrial petroleum complex to stop making so much profit and pollution).
or
B.) Arresting small farmers (of course that’s not what we mean, you’re being ridiculous, we want locally grown organic food), killing livestock (livestock exist to be killed don’t they?), forcing people to eat bugs (a 2012 idea discarded for being ridiculous and unnecessary, no one is being forced to stop eating animal products which are heavily subsidised and actively promoted by both UK and US governments), imprisoning the working class in 15-minute cities (working, supporting and playing within a local community is a very good idea but imprisoning the working class is just nonsense), and shutting off citizens' bank accounts if they disagree with the regime or travel too far to visit grandma (I’m sure your followers enjoy this silly scaremongering).
There are enormous differences between these two scenarios. Yet the environmental promises of scenario A are used to lure people into the dystopian nightmare of scenario B. (In fact fear of scenario B is being used to lure people away from the environmental promises of scenario A). That's why people are pushing back.(You can see that the nightmare scenario is causing people to push back against policies that damage industry profits).
So if you hadn’t fallen for the dystopian hoax agenda B you wouldn’t be pushing back against those concerned by global warming; you’d be pushing back against the military industrial complex in A instead?
The imminent enforcement of the scary nightmare, allegedly by the virtue signalling hypocrites at Klaus’ vanity club, is a lie that is being deliberately told by the industry funded Heartland Institute.
I hope you can see why industry would create a pretend plan for a terrifying dystopia that an unsuspecting person could be lured into at any moment if they let their guard down and admit they’re concerned about global warming or think, even for just a second, about its causes.
Toby Rogers’ note shows
A) how effective the fearful fantasy has been in deflecting away from both the climate crisis and the industries that are causing it
and
B) how people on social media can be fooled. If you’re not careful you’ll fall for the fake threat (as even the Duran and the Grayzone seem to have on occasion) of ‘globalists’ /’One World Government’/’Davos aligned forces’ that was purposefully created by the anti-renewables anti-regulation powerful fossil fuel and animal ag/pharma industries owned by the 1%.

Brilliant!! You nailed it perfectly.
Excellent observation, Jo. Gracias.
This is a short sharp and lovely look at how subtle and pervasive is fear-philia, aka porn.
Odd thought re food production:
The entire American food industry is so highly subsidized that for years (I didn't check recently), the USA was the world's biggest producer of rice.
