These last 30 years certain climate markers have been tracked and there is improvement in some and stability in others. There is no crisis. The climate is changing and it always has.
Hunger has gone down in spite of a 37% increase in population between 1982 and 2016. I'm sorry but with all the numbers I read I'm at the point of confusing some, the dates in the following is one example. Nutrition insufficiency affected 14% (maybe in the 80s) and then a few years ago it was less, 11%. The number of calories of this deficiency went from an average of 188 to 72 per day.
As to the military industrial complex, the China tension, the Ukraine, etc, definitely there's a created problem and the culprits are the neocons and their overseas comrades. We say we want freedom and justice, but we install corruption.
I think much of it is a game behind the curtain most of the time, between the top guys planning how to keep each population in fear with their antics.
I still believe it comes down to us. We need to not be afraid and pursue truth always, keep the dialog going in spite of differences, be there for the people in our lives and those we meet, and keep working at the things we find most daunting. The last item is the real thing to focus on. We need to move forward in our personal lives because that's the one thing trouble makes most certainly are not doing.
