I started out hating them because of what they're trying to do. With enormous effort to shift from this because that's not how I want to live, I now hate what they do. I feel sorry for them and sometimes I get angry at them.
Whenever I'm tempted to think ill of them, I imagine how it must be to want to make people miserable, control them, and push them into doing things that will make them lose their self-respect. Spending one's life doing that must be hell.
I do wonder about putting everyone in the public eye, from either side, into the mix though. Certainly, no one is perfect, but can't one fight for what's right? Some people live life on the small scale and some people don't. We all have a calling. I think right now anyone can step up and take on more responsibility. It's one of those moments when movement is easy because there is are spaces vacant needing to be filled.
Very interesting. Yes, I believe we are punished by what we do and not because of it.
And I don't know about being in the global public eye- that's a lot of eyes- though each life is just one life and is the same size as everyone else's.
I'm not sure about fighting, I'm to sure about what is right. We all think we are right. I'm not sure we ever change anyone's mind.
My opinions were changed by my life completely falling apart and then being put back together with love from physically present people.
We, and I mean me, absolutely, are being drawn deeper and deeper into the online matrix world of talking heads, advice and opinions.
I'm missing what's actually happening in the lives of those around me!
Physically present people are what we all need in our lives, especially now that it's a rarity for a number of reasons. There weren't any left back home, and so I moved to be somewhere with less restrictions. I'd rather be alone where I know no one than somewhere where my friends are MIA. A break for Christmas is a good idea. I need to get away from reading about all the terrible things people are planning for us because they don't know how to enjoy the sunset and a conversation with friends. I began yesterday and slept WELL. I didn't go cold turkey, just two ciggies a day, in a manner of speaking.
Yes, I totally agree. Maybe the agenda could actually be averted if more of us stopped focusing on it and enjoyed the sunset and chatted together in the flesh instead.
So glad that you had a good nights sleep, it's so important.
Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and many beautiful sunrises, sunsets and restful night's sleep in 2023 xxxx
Thank you! I take your point. I have a friend who says just as much to me whenever we have a heavy conversation. I plan to focus on these things in 2023.
Ironically, my favorite comment these last two years has been that certain agenda-driven people should just rent a palazzo (or one each) along the Grand Canal and gather in the evenings for drinks and to admire the sunset (or their black market art if need be).
Breakaway societies and small communities does seem like the only answer. So naturally they are stigmatized to hell. It would seem given all the advances in technology we would be able to build sustainable smaller communities if it was something that we wanted to do. And yet we've gone the other way. Globalism or bust
Your speculation about what makes a psychopath is similar to mine.
It's hard to feel sympathy for them, when we see what they do, but they are still people...
I don't have all the answers... yet... ha ha ... but I want to have them, and I want to not hate anybody.
I think it gets easier with practice.

Yes I agree, I think the technology is there, but living happily together is not very lucrative
We can change our minds. And surely most of us will, sooner or later. It might not be a choice.
Absolutely true.
I lined up episodes from the murderous show yesterday:
