We know that the term 'nazi' and 'literally hitler' can be applied to whoever we are supposed to hate at the time, such as the unvaccinated, but it’s is missing the main point.
What is being normalised by the cheering of some old geezer? The celebration of killing Russians and that Putin is the enemy.
Just like Jacinda Ardern, Trudeau is (or was) a bright young thing/useful idiot/puppet who can be tossed aside. Trudeau didn't make any mistakes with the cheering and clapping of a ‘naz’i. He did exactly what he was told. I think Ardern lost the stomach for it and jumped but Trudeau will continue until he's pushed, when he becomes too tainted.
They are achieving their aim. Which is to normalise Russian killing, celebrating and venerating people who kill Russian people and fixing and reinforcing in our suggestible minds that Putin is an evil enemy (of the western economy and US dominance). Telling us that the enemy of our enemy is our friend. Allowing them to make us think in absolute and binary terms like this must be resisted.
It was similar with 'covid'- Boris Johnson had to go because of party-gate (which is even being dramatised on the BBC)- because he didn't follow the lockdown rules. What was completely normalised in our minds and not questioned (but rather reinforced) in the 'scandal' was the illegal, unnecessary and destructive lockdown rules themselves.
Putin and Russia are not our enemy. The US provoked a war with Russia at the expense of Ukraine, to economically ‘hurt’ Russia and prevent cheap gas going to Europe. Politicians should be negotiating with Putin not squabbling in the media about the definition of nazi. The war is over. The collective West lost and was humiliated. The Canadian spectacle got us reposting the victory parade (which they afterwards pretended to want to expunge) when in fact the war was a disaster; unless you count the arming of nationalistic, racist, murderous thugs. There will be, on Putin’s terms, unconditional surrender (hopefully sooner rather than later for everyone’s sake, especially Ukrainians but also tax payers). For Zelensky; the spoilt, demanding, grumpy actor no-one likes, in his crumpled khaki pyjamas, the show is almost over.
No-one in European government is afraid of Russia spreading into Europe, the lie we are told. The EU and UK has given away much of our missiles, tanks and ammunition and have poured £billions down the drain or into the hands of fascists. We do not have an army that would last longer than a few weeks against Russia, and neither does anyone else in Europe, nor the US.
The US may have failed in hurting Russia but has been successful in seriously hurting another economic rival; the EU. Nuland famously said ‘fuck the EU’, maybe she didn't just mean who cares if it’s collateral damage, maybe she meant bring the EU down.
It's not ok to give standing ovations in a national government to anyone, whatever they are really like as a person or whatever they have done or not done in the past, who years ago killed the ancestors of some people who live in a different country to us.
The enemy, if there is one, is the power of corporations to manipulate us via social media. Though ultimately this war and any putative future ones will end how Russia and China want them to and between them they will decide how to handle the ‘Western Question’.

As a Canadian, I have been swimming in this ever since it happened. It amazes me how everyone I know (IRL, not online) truly believes it was an accident, an innocent mistake on Trudeau's part, and they think too much is being made of it, just let it go. I was amazed at how many people fell for the plandemic narrative too, though. And after everything that's happened in the past 3-4 years, how are so many Canadians still giving Trudeau a pass? I cannot wrap my head around it. It's as if he has some capacity to hypnotize people, he literally can do no wrong in the eyes of so many of my fellow citizens.
Sorry,I guess I'm ranting and repeating myself, shows how frustrated I am.
"The enemy, if there is one..."
It's rare to be inspired to quote Donald Rumsfeld but his words the day before 9-11 are prophetic. "The adversary is closer to home it's the Pentagon bureaucracy.. in fact it can be said it's a matter of life & death.. " The 2001 can't track total $2.3 trillion in spending now 20X that.
