Interesting theory about semen being an oxidizer. That probably explains why 1) condoms are associated with reduced risk for cervical cancer, despite 2) the claim that condoms don't protect against HPV, or at least not very well, as it can sneak right around them from areas not covered. Your theory is far more elegant.
Your comment also reminded me that Jewish women seem to get less cervical cancer, this could be because they practice sexual abstinence during menstruation when the lining of the cervix is completely changed by hormones and may be more vulnerable to oxidation. It could also be that male circumcision prevents build up of toxins under the foreskin.
There was a study in the 1960s that refuted the second part about what you said, namely about male circumcision, finding no correlation in that regard. But the first part of what you said remains an open question nonetheless. While I doubt that is the reason why they avoid sex during menstruation (more likely due to ancient taboos than anything else), that may very well be a classic example of being (somewhat) right for the wrong reasons.
I am wondering if the covid vaccine is contributing to cervical cancer. I have met two people who were vaccinated that were recently diagnosed with it. Thank you for posting this article.

ooo do you have the link to the 60's paper? no correlation between circumcision and cancer or hpv?
Yes I agree the later probably has to do with taboos about cleanliness. Some women really enjoy sex during their period, I really didn't.
I'm trying to think of another taboo that has proven to be useful. I'll let you know if I think of one!
I don't remember where I found that, it was over a decade ago.
is it this one https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1816967/?page=2 ?
You're very welcome :)
As the door opens wider, we see dark and deep the insanity is.
yes

We know it's certainly not helping.
My pleasure, I think it's a very an important one.
