I think you are saying that grandstanding gets us nowhere. That we might be more effective in small groups. Not really sure.

No, I don't think I'm saying that.I'm saying some seem to want to tear everything down and have no structure nor ideals nor idea of how to look after people during nor any agreement on what to replace society with afterwards.

Like I say I think western hegemony is already tearing itself apart, maybe it would be a good thing to accelerate it, but I don't see what point there is to being locked up.

I don’t know too many women who are for abortion at nine months. Most I know want restrictions. When you debate it is somewhere around 12 weeks most people can live with. Most pro life women secretly are okay with some abortion if it is very early. Most leftie women feel uncomfortable after a certain point. It is only through unfettered free speech we can reach a position most people support, ethically. Take free speech away and 51% can tyrannize 49% despite a large portion of the 51% not even agreeing on one issue or another.

The right has had this problem forever. The left of course doesn’t. The left has a party line to which everyone adheres. They often privately don’t agree, but they would never say so. Whereas the right splinters and won’t support someone because they don’t agree with one of their positions. My youngest son is my biz partner. I half homeschooled him for a couple of years. My office was in my house and I saw him, hung out with him every day of his life. And we don’t agree on many things. My best friend and I don’t see eye to eye on many issues. Yet somehow I am supposed to find a politician I agree with 100% of the time!
